'K-pop' (Korean pop music) has begun to develop a global following. Whilst the modern, highly styled and fashion concious music genre has developed a cult following since the late '90s amongst pockets of western audiences, when 'Girls Generation' appeared on 'Letterman' back in January it marked a breakthrough in the global market for K-pop.
